West Shore RCMP seek vandals who tagged sleeping man

West Shore RCMP are looking for vandals who spray-painted a man’s face

The man was passed out under the Six Mile Road overpass. Police are pursing the case with the possibility of pressing assault charges.

“There’s a tag that was put on his head, with initials, so we’re hoping maybe somebody’s able to recognize that,” said RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Max Fossum, adding this is a unique case.

“(I’ve seen) some stuff at parties and stuff like that, where somebody got tagged, with a marker usually. But this is pretty serious.”

Rubbing alcohol would not remove the paint, but it is coming off with time.

RCMP ask anyone with information to call the West Shore detachment at 250-474-2264.
