Study the brain to raise a happier child — speaker

School District 43's District Parent Advisory Council is hosting a presentation by Dr. Dan Siegel on brain research and the Whole Brain Child in Coquitlam.

Parents can learn how a child's brain affects their emotions and reasoning and will be given strategies for raising calmer, happier and more integrated children, during a workshop sponsored by the District Parent Advisory Council.

Dan Siegel will be speaking on Parenting with the Brain in Mind Thursday, Feb. 21 from 7 to 9  p.m. in the Gallery Room at Winslow Centre, 1100 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam.

Registration is required before Feb. 21 by phoning 604-939-3690 or emailing office@dbac43.ort with the name, telephone number and number of people attending.

Siegel is the co-author of the Whole Brain Child and has been featured in numerous TEDtalks.
