Barista training session offered
Dyan Spink of Royston Roasting Company and Gaetane Palardy of Island Gourmet Trails will offer a February barista training session.
The course has been well-received and feedback from graduates state the courses’ Royston Coffee House location, in an actual café/restaurant setting, makes it not only educational, but a real-life, hands-on experience.
The course will be held Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Spink has taken the show on the road this season from Campbell River to Parksville and has fully trained over 40 baristas, "a lot of whom were offered employment in cafes and restaurants as well as some who were taking their new skills away, working while travelling,” she says.
