Support Our Seniors Comox Valley meets Tuesday
The next SOS (Support Our Seniors) Comox Valley meeting is on Feb. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Lower Native Sons’ Hall.
The speaker will be Greg Oksanen, a pharmacist from the Living Room Pharmacy.
Oksanen will focus on how seniors can protect their independence and live healthily at home. He will be prepared to answer general questions about medications and how some prescriptions may interfere with others.
Baby boomers who are caregivers for their parents often have to deal with prescriptions which are way out of date when they go through their parents’ drawers and cupboards. They want to help but are unsure of quite how to deal with conflicting prescriptions, so this meeting will address those concerns as well as others.
In addition to this talk and discussion, some seniors may wish to debrief issues from the Seniors’ Town Hall held Jan. 30.
All are welcome at this free meeting. Refreshments will be provided.
