Thursday trunk-show a hit

Quilters of all levels of experience expected a worthwhile show on January 24 at Jean's Material Things in downtown Castlegar, and they weren't disappointed.
Artist June Bell was giving what's known as a "Trunk Show," a perfect way for fans of the quilting craft to spend a grey Thursday afternoon.
Bell had brought along a trunkful of works accumulated over the past four-plus decades, samples of her favourite creations. Each brought along its own story.
"She's one of the premier quilters," said host Jean, "totally original."
