Nikki Mihalick of the South Okanagan Similkameen SPCA spends a moment with Milly, a nine-year-old beagle at the Penticton shelter this week. Milly has been at the facility for the longest of all the current residents and staff say she is in desperate need of a loving home. The shelter is open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed Sundays.
