Bikes given away to kids

Vibe Bikes and the non-profit Hub City Cycles Community Co-operative are teaming up to ensure children in need have a bike to ride this holiday season.

The two groups will be gathering at Hub City Cycles, 12 Lois Lane in downtown Nanaimo,  for two days to fix up as many old and used youth bicycles as possible.

The finished bikes will be completely tuned up and looked over by a bicycle mechanic, then displayed outside of the shop Tuesday (Dec. 18) and given away on a first come first serve basis.

Both groups look forward to helping families this holiday season by sharing the joy of having a bike to ride.

For more information please, go to www.hubcitycycles.ca or call 250-591-2159.
