Drive One event aids two local charities
Magnuson Ford in Abbotsford is raising funds, food and warm clothing in an event taking place Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Drive One 4 UR Community event supports the Abbotsford Food Bank and Operation Red Nose, in partnership with PriceSmart Foods.
For every drive around the block, Ford of Canada and Magnuson Ford will donate $20 to the two charities. In addition, the public is invited to donate warm clothing and blankets, and non-perishable food items.
On hand of the event will be local police officers and firefighters; Mayor Bruce Banman and MLAs; Abbotsford Heat players and mascot Hawkey; and the Pacific Mennonite Choir performing from noon to 1 p.m.
The event takes place in the parking lot of PriceSmart Foods at West Oaks Mall, 32700 South Fraser Way.
