Women's groups raise funds for local charities

The Abbotsford Chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women recently co-hosted a forum with the United Church Women at Gladwin United Church.
The event was part of the child poverty initiative that all BC CFUW Clubs are participating in this year.
Guest speakers were Dr. Elizabeth Watt, who represented The Youth Health Centre, Michele Giordano, who spoke about the Warm Zone and Women’s Resource Society of the Fraser Valley, and Janna Dieleman, who spoke about the programs offered at the Abbotsford Community Services.
The event helped raise $640 which will be divided among the organizations represented.
