Financial literacy workshop for youth
A free financial literacy workshop for youths up to age 25 takes place in Abbotsford on Saturday, Nov. 24.
The session runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sweeney Neighbourhood Centre (33355 Bevan Ave.). Pizza and refreshments will be served.
The workshop is one of two hosted by Vibrant Abbotsford, which was the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Coast Capital Savings Community Fund.
The “Banking on Youth” project provides young people who are becoming more involved with finances with strategies on how to effectively manage their money, avoid spending temptations, maximize savings and build good habits for life.
