Do-Jo Exchange fundraiser this Saturday
A Christmas Festival fundraiser is happening this Saturday at North Valley Baptist Church which will help working families and seniors in need with food and other small necessities.
The Do-Jo Exchange Society has rented out tables to a number of home-based businesses that will be selling a range of items including chocolates, spices, and cosmetic products, and more.
The vendors keep all the profits, say organizers, and the society derives revenue from table rental, a raffle, concession and bake sale.
North Valley is located at 32715 Cherry Ave., and the event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The society defines working families in need as those in between paycheques, on maternity, on disability leave, or laid off from work. Circumstances have found these families struggling to make ends meet but, unfortunately, they are unable to qualify for temporary services/assistance due to their assets or income level.
For more information the society, e-mail thedo-joexchange@hotmail.com, or visit them on Facebook.
