'Remembrances' at The Reach Gallery

Fraser Valley Stage (FVS) brings its production “Remembrances” to The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford on Sunday, Nov. 11.

“Remembrances” is a reflective program of music and poetry pertaining to the two world wars. It is part of the Live @ The Reach music series.

Although much of the music of both wars was positive, written to keep spirits up and reflect the longing for home and peace, the poetry of the time sought to show the reality of the experience.

This program juxtaposes these two art forms to remember many of the “feel good” songs of the eras, but also the cost of war.

The production begins at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 and are on sale at The Reach, 32388 Veterans Way, or online at thereach.ca.

For more information, call 604-864-8087 (ext. 111) or email info@thereach.ca.

FVS is currently in rehearsal for its December production of “Starlight Radio Theatre.”

The group is a non-profit organization composed of volunteer singers, actors, dancers, and many artists and craftspeople who share an interest in and commitment to live theatre.
