On Thursday, Nov. 15 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, 1175 Beach Dr., will host a diabetes awareness meeting hosted by Bob McDonald of CBC’s Quirks & Quarks.
The talk includes endocrinologist, metabolism specialist Galina Smushkin, who recently arrived from the Mayo Clinic. Refreshments are included in the $25 ticket price. Proceeds to Camp Homewood family subsidy program. Go to diabetes.ca for information.
