Victoria IT company named best in Western Canada

Victoria-based IT North was recently named the number 1 network and consulting company in Western Canada at Microsoft’s World Conference.

Presented on July 13 in Washington, D.C., the IMPACT Award recognizes the success IT North has had with several projects over the past year, particularly one in northern B.C.

“Up north, you’re working through problems with connectivity and bandwidth that you don’t have to deal with in the city,” said Allan Bagelman, director of business development.

“We implemented the design flawlessly, and it got the attention of Microsoft.”

Meanwhile in Victoria, Bagelman said they’re already seeing the impact the award is having on their business.

“We’re getting calls from across the country, with people are mentioning the award,” Bagelman said. “It really lets us demonstrate our swath of capabilities to clients here in Victoria.
