Rexall opens in New West

Rexall Drugs opened its New Westminster store Friday at 700 Sixth St.

Rexall tore down the previous building which had housed the Blockbuster video store and Buckbuster dollar store and built a two-storey structure in its place.

The new building will feature more than 10,000 square feet of retail space.

"This store is not only the first Rexall in the community, but is also the first of our two-level format stores in all of Western Canada," said Paul Childley, Rexall divisional vice-president of operations.

It will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
