Coast Realty Group launches third annual Port Alberni home makeover contest

Coast Realty Group of the Alberni Valley is launching its third annual Coast Realty Home Makeover Contest.

“We are presently seeking nomination from the community for a person, or family, who’s own actions to help others makes them deserving of winning the contest,” realtor Chris Fenton said.

On July 23, 26–27 the Coast Realty team will give the winner’s home a makeover including new external paint, as well as a general landscaping upgrade.

The deadline for nominations is June 30. On July 1 a panel of judges will choose the contest winner based on the personal story behind the nomination.

The time and resources donated by Coast Realty, along with key partners Colyn’s Landscaping and Alberni Color Corner - Benjamin Moore, will benefit one local family in a meaningful way, Fenton said.

Once again, Benjamin Moore have kindly donated the paint, while Colyn’s Landscaping have donated time, equipment, and expertise.

“Now in its third year, the Coast Realty Home Makeover Contest has proven to be an amazing event that brings the community together,” Fenton said.

“The Coast Realty Home Makeover is an opportunity to give something back to the community in which we live and work.”

In addition to their partners, nearly a dozen businesses in the Alberni Valley donated to the event in 2013.

In addition to one family benefit directly from the contest, the surrounding neighbourhood and community benefit indirectly through the beautification of one home, he added.
