The staff of Nelson & District Credit Union (NDCU) wants to thank its members and the community of Nelson for the outpouring of support after the armed robbery on the afternoon of Friday, April 25.

They also thank the Nelson Police Department and the RCMP for their rapid response which resulted in the apprehension of a suspect.

In light of the incident the NDCU's hours of operation are:

Monday, April 28 — noon to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, April 29 — 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Credit Union will continue to host its 63rd Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, April 29 at the Prestige Lakeside Resort in Nelson at 7 p.m. Members are encouraged to attend as the AGM is a chance to meet the Board of Directors, ask questions and hear about their Credit Union’s activities and accomplishments from the past year.

NDCU will not provide any further media releases and will leave this to law-enforcement in order not to jeopardize the investigation.
