Greater Vernon chamber hosts free Google workshop

A presence on the Internet is increasingly important to the future of businesses, big and small.

As a result, the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free educational session Jan. 15 entitled Your Business and Google.

“Learn how to optimize your business’ search results on Google,” said Torrie Silverthorn, membership development and events co-ordinator for the chamber.

“A representative from Google will teach us how a simple Google search translates into new customers.”

Participants are asked to bring their own lunch to the event.

While the event is free, registration is required.

You can register by e-mailing the chamber at info@vernonchamber.ca

The seminar runs from noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce (upstairs boardroom) at 102-2901 32nd St.
