General manager joins Free Press
The Prince George Free Press has a new general manager.
Ron Drillen has an extensive background in the newspaper industry. He first worked as an advertising sales representative in Thunder Bay, Ontario and has since been general manager for newspapers in Brampton, Oshawa, Guelph, St. Thomas, Sudbury, Moncton, St. John, New Brunswick and Kingston.
He began his new position with the Free Press on Monday.
“I am looking forward to this new challenge in my career. My wife, Tricia, and my son Robert, 16, are also looking forward to becoming part of this vibrant community. Tricia has friends in B.C. and we lived in Mackenzie years ago, so I am familiar with working and living in the North. In the next little while it will be my pleasure to meet with and talk to a wide variety of people from the community.”
