Launch! New West launches
Launch! New West is being launched on Tuesday to provide small business owners, professionals and prospective entrepreneurs with information on local economic development initiatives and for them to network.
The free event will be held at the River Market's food hall from 6 to 8 p.m. and will feature a question and answer with provincial small business minister Naomi Yamamoto, Coun. Jaimie McEvoy and city economic development manager Blair Fryer.
The discussion will be moderated by the event's organizers and Tenth to the Fraser bloggers Briana Tomkinson and Jen Arbo, who also co-founded local marketing company Hyack Interactive. They point out small business comprises approximately 85 per cent of all New Westminster-based businesses.
