Spud Shack's Porktine tops poutine poll
Vancouver's best poutine is actually in New Westminster according to a competition of 21 entries from around the Lower Mainland.
The Spud Shack Fry Co.'s Porktine was voted as the top poutine in Vancouver Foodster's second online poutine challenge. It's made with frites, squeeky cheese, gravy, julienne double smoked bacon, and apple rosemary bacon cheese fritters. The Porktine's price ranges from $7.50 for a small to $13,50 for a large.
The Spud Shack recently opened in The Shops at New Westminster Station mall.
The restaurants involved offered up their creations Feb. 5-28 and the public got to vote for their favourite at vancouverfoodster.com.
