Bureau boost
A South Surrey business that raised $25,000 for the Surrey Christmas Bureau presented the funds Jan. 28 with the help of Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts.
iFund Lending – which deals with borrowers who cannot access traditional financing – collected the money during its iFund Lending Giving Campaign.
“This was a huge boost to our donations that went a long way toward putting toys into the hands of local children,” co-ordinator K.C. Gilroy said in a news release.
The Christmas Bureau has 110 active volunteers and registered more than 1,700 low-income Surrey families for the 2012 Christmas season
