Vitamin D eggs hit store shelves
A Fraser Valley company is marketing new Vitamin D-infused eggs as a way to combat the winter blues in sun-starved B.C.
"Spending less time exposed to the sun under the gloom of winter skies, we need to replace the Vitamin D we normally get from the sun," stated Frank Born, president and founder of Born 3 Specialty Eggs. "The new Born 3 Vitamin D egg is an easy way to get essential nutrients in meals and snacks."
The addition of Vitamin D to the Omega 3, the high quality protein and the nutrients already found in the Born 3 eggs, make them a nutritious food product with just one Born 3 Vitamin D egg providing 50 per cent of our daily need.
Born 3 Vitamin D eggs come in distinctive paper cartons and are distributed by Abbotsford's Golden Valley Foods Ltd. to many stores throughout the province.
Born 3 Marketing Corp. is a specialty egg company based in the Fraser Valley, and their products include the original Omega 3 white and brown eggs and the new Omega 3 Vitamin D eggs.
