Two injured in separate stabbing incidents

One man was stabbed during a fracas Saturday night at a Surrey banquet hall at 8233 166 Street.
About 11:30 p.m. police responding to a report of a fight in the banquet hall above a pub arrived to find one male had been stabbed several times.
The wounds were described as superficial in nature.
There were several fights that followed the stabbing incident and at least one shot was fired into the ceiling of a hallway.
Two males were arrested.
The knife and gun have not been recovered.
Surrey RCMP said the incidents were not random and the parties are believed to know one another.
In an unrelated incident later Sunday morning, one man suffered what was described as a minor stab wound during an altercation with a relative.
It happened around 5 a.m. at a residence in the 6100 block of 145A Street.
One suspect was arrested at the scene and the weapon was recovered.
