CREDIT UNION WEEK was noted by the Northern Savings Credit Union which distributed cheques to various community organizations and groups.

The Terrace and District Museum Society was one of those organizations and received two cheques for $1,300 to assist in ongoing work and awareness at Heritage Park.

The credit union in Terrace distributed $20,000 this year to seven groups.

The $20,000 donations program in Terrace stems from a commitment made in 2004 to distribute a sum of money equally between four branches maintained by the credit union in the northwest.

This year the commitment was $80,000 and the board reviewed 100 grant applications.
