A downtown Revelstoke building has been nominated for a commercial building award.
The Howson Building, located at the corner of Mackenzie Avenue and Second Street, is among 26 finalists for the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board Commercial Zone’s first annual Commercial Building Awards. It was nominated in the Renovation - Existing Building category.
The awards look to celebrate the best commercial buildings in the board's jurisdiction, which stretches from Peachland to Revelstoke. To qualify, the buildings must have been completed between Jan. 1, 2008 and Sept. 1, 2009.
The Howson Building is one of only six nominees from outside the Kelowna area.
The winner will be announced at a gala at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort and Conference Centre on Nov. 12.
