We’re from Calgary and have had a summer cottage in Blind Bay for the last two years. It’s a fabulous community and everyone in the greater Salmon Arm region is friendly and hospitable.
However, when it comes to local business, things are quite different.
For the last two years we’ve been trying to find someone to do some dry-walling in our home, to no avail. And this past March, a section of our rain gutter was brought down by heavy ice.
We have called every company in the phone book, in the classifieds and through word-of-mouth.
No one has even had the courtesy to call us back, including the company that did the original work.
We really want to support local businesses here in the Salmon Arm area, but we’ve given up trying. Hopefully someone in Kamloops will make the drive to help us out.
