Keeping salmon in Salmon Arm

For those who are for, or against, development east of Salmon Arm at the Salmon River Delta area, the main concern for everyone should be Shuswap Lake. It is so important to protect the lake from any more pollution even if thoughts are that it is only a small amount.
Learning that green algae is forming in the lake is a real wake-up call.
Banning the use of pesticides would be a step in the right direction. More organic gardening and farming would help, too.
Protecting the lake benefits everyone in the Shuswap with their health and their future. There is also the future of the salmon to think about. The name of our town is Salmon Arm.
If developments along the lake keep being allowed how long will the lake survive?
Both sides should work together and find a solution to the development situation, keeping in mind the future of Shuswap Lake.
