Building on the success of last year’s events, Jazz Nights at the SAGA Public Art Gallery continue. Jacob Verberg and Leon Power put on regular Thursday night concerts and a dedicated core of jazz lovers supported them.

“This season, Jake and Leon are on to other things,” says former music teacher and well-known local musician Sandy Cameron. “Brian Pratt-Johnson and I are going to organize the events.”

An extra concert will be held tomorrow night, Oct. 29, featuring The Jon Treichel Jazz Quartet, with Brian (PJ) Pratt-Johnson and Friends.

Admission is by donation, money raised goes toward gallery rental, payment to musicians and building up a reserve to help with costs of presenting out-of-town guest artists.
