Skeletal trees moan in the wind, dark clouds scud across the sky and the ghosts and goblins come out to play.

And they’re ready to welcome families back for another year of ghostly entertaining at the R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum.

Participate in the spook trail, where you will encounter several hair-raising experiences.

Have your heart rate double, your blood curdle and  pressure drop out of sight as you walk along the creek bed trail and experience the haunts that have survived this area of Haney Village for several decades.

From here you will be able to have your fortune told by Haney’s own “witchy” fortune teller as she will make your fortune change from an eerie and scary present to a bright and delightful future.

This year Haney has added an attraction that is sure to be a hit. The “Haunted House” of Haney Village. Who will dare to enter and who will remain safe from the terror that lies within? For the younger set that may be spook-sensitive, there will be monster colouring in the Tea Room.

This is an event for children and limited to kids up to 15 years of age, who must be accompanied by an adult that is over 21 years of age and who will remain and supervise the children.

The cost is $6 per head. You are encouraged to come in costume and dress warmly.

Volunteers needed

Haney is still in need for volunteers to work at some of the stations around the park.

For more information or to volunteer to make the night for children a memorable one, call the museum at  250-832-5243.
