The Rotary Club of Salmon Arm hosts their 7th Annual Wine Festival on Friday, Oct. 16 at the SASCU Community Centre from 7 to 10 p.m.
“This year we have had an impressive response from 20 very special British Columbia wineries that are going to attend and pour their great wines,” says organizer Hazel Nevrkla. “Altogether, samples of more than 100 wines will be available for tasting – all made from 100 per cent British Columbia grapes.”
As well as the three local wineries, there will be 17 others, including some large, but mostly small, wineries.
“This is a great way for you to sample wines without having to buy a whole bottle at a time,” Nevrkla says, noting some of the wines are available only in specialty stores.
On the food side, the Hideaway will cater the event this year with gourmet appetizers.
Tickets are $40 each and entitle guests to a wine glass upon entry to the event and a large array of wines and food to sample.
Tickets are available at the Hideaway Liquor Store, Victoria Square in Piccadilly Place Mall, Crazy River Clothing Co., Apple Auto Glass, CIBC, Lakeside Insurance or any Barton Insurance location.
Or, you can call Doug at 250-803-1340.
Proceeds go to fund the many great community projects supported by Rotary.
