The public is invited to come on down to the Civic Centre and watch a movie before it comes out on DVD. Watch it on a real sized movie screen with big sound.
The movies playing at the Civic Centre this weekend:
Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs will play on Oct. 3 and 4 at 2 p.m. daily.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will play on Oct. 2 and 3, at 4 p.m. daily.
The Leisure Services Fall and Spring Program catalogue came out recently. There is still time to sign your child up for any number of programs, such as swimming lessons and Christmas ornament painting classes. For teens, there’s a variety of action from extreme paintballing to European handball.
Now that the young ones are back in school, it’s time to get ready for that endless round of birthday parties.
Check out the perfect packages offered and relief yourself of a headache.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the organization and decorating associated with the annual Halloween party which is set for Merritt on Oct. 24. If you are interested, call Jamie at 250-315-1050.
And finally, a lack of interest has led to the cancellation of the annual community garage sale at the Civic Centre.
