TRU VOLLEYBALL HOME OPENER: Big Macs on the line

Colin Carson and the Thompson Rivers University men’s volleyball team play their home opener tonight at the Tournament Capital Centre against the University of Regina Cougars.

The Pack volleyball women are also competing in their Canadian Interuniversity Sport Canada West regular season home opener.

The women’s game begins at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 7:45 p.m., with all ticket proceeds going to the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo United Way.

Tonight is also McDonald’s Night, meaning that everyone in attendance will receive a free Big Mac if the TRU men defeat the Cougars in straight sets.

The two teams — men and women — will square off again on Saturday night, with the women hitting the court at 5 p.m. and the men following at 6:45 p.m.
