If there’s been one bright spot for the Kamloops Broncos in an otherwise disappointing season, it’s been the defence.
And a big part of that defence has been Mitch Day.
Through nine games, Day’s 40 tackles are the third-most on the Broncos, behind Mark Gratton and Tyler Lee.
Twice this year he’s recorded seven tackles in a game — in Week 2 and in Week 4, both against the Vancouver Trojans.
The Kamloops product also has two touchdowns on the season — one the result of an interception in Week 2 and the other off of a fumble recover in Week Eight.
Day will be looking to add to his totals in the club’s final game of the season on Saturday night, when Chilliwack comes to town.
