Catharine Pendrel of Kamloop won the women’s cross country event at the Canadian mountain bike championships, which were held in St-Felicien, Que. on the weekend.

Pendrel is the world’s top-ranked rider who finished fourth at the 2008 Olympic Summer Games in Beijing.
