Heat women open 2008 soccer season today in Langley

The  Kamloops Heat women’s reserve side opens the Pacific Coast Soccer League season today in Langley.

The team is made up largely of Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s soccer team members, along with local under-18 girls. 

The Reserves will be coached by WolfPack assistant Kelly Shantz and David Lloyd, who coached in the Kamloops youth rep soccer for a number of years.

The Heat will play their first two games on the road before making their home debut on May 31 against Chilliwack.

Kamloops will play 18 matches, nine of them at home.
