Secondary reasons to keep Westsyde open

Westsyde secondary is the only school in School District 73 that has a swimming pool and an elementary school on the same property.
Westsyde also has its own separate building for skilled trades, such as automotive and woodworking.
Closing Westsyde would be the worst decision in the long term for the school district.
If anything, we should be funneling students into this school complex to keep the property operation at full capacity until student enrolment starts to increase.
Brocklehurst and North Kamloops secondary schools are close enough together that we should instead consolidate those two schools to address declining enrolment.
Westsyde has a lot of new homes being built and the possibility of two shopping centres opening.
Closing half of our schools and pool campus would be the worst thing to do at this time.
I also feel that it will give the city the chance to close Westsyde Pool permanently, which it has tried to do before.
