Coverage of murder trial ‘sensational, graphic’

I like your paper.
I enjoy flipping through it regularly.
I leave it on my kitchen table and I encourage my children to leaf through and read it as well.
But your coverage of the Schoenborn murder trial has changed that.
Your sensational, graphic coverage serves no newsworthy purpose. It is provocative without merit and gives a public voice to a severely mentally ill man, bringing absolutely unnecessary and gruesome detail of this senseless tragedy into our homes without any legitimate purpose.
This is the type of “journalism” I would expect from smut magazines, not from my community paper.
As a mom sensitive to the content my children are exposed to, I will carefully reconsider carrying your paper into my home in future.
