I would just like to comment on the story of our hospital security and the protests against plans to privatize it.
As a licensed security guard with 18 years of experience, I want to know who the heck the current hospital security thinks they are.
Guess what, guys? We all do the same job regardless of wage and contract location.
Just because those poor babies are crying because they lost the cushy contract does not mean that other guards with the exact same training, but who may make less money, won’t do a great job.
I personally know at least three hospital guards and, even though they are on their high horse, I have far more experience at security than all three combined.
They can find other employment options and should never forget where they came from — the exact same place I did.
