SharePet owners continue to get short end of the leash

Re: The Nov. 6 letter from Pat and Leo Hemmer regarding their inability to buy a downtown condo due to pet restrictions (‘In the end, buyer and seller lose out’):
The dilemma facing the Hemmers is an all-too-familiar story many prospective homebuyers with pets face when it comes to relocating to the downtown core of Kamloops.
The problem seems to be that, once again, a few irresponsible pet owners spoil it for the rest of us.
It’s a sad situation when responsible pet owners who also pay taxes are pushed aside and, in fact, discriminated against when choosing areas where they would like to live.
