H1N1 vaccination clinic extends hours

The Interior Health Authority is extending its H1N1 vaccination clinic in Kamloops because of high demand and long lines.
The clinic is being held today at the Kamloops Alliance Church, 233 Fortune Dr., and will stay open an additional three hours to 7 p.m. this evening.
The next clinic will be held on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Next week's clinics are slated to be announced on Wednesday.
Those at risk to contract the swine flu virus are those under 65 with chronic health conditions, such as asthma and diabetes, women in the second half of their pregnancy, people who live in rural or isolated communities, including First Nations people, children six to 59 months of age, household contacts and care providers of infants under six months of age and household contacts and care providers of persons who are immunocompromised.
