VJ voting includes Kamloops man

He’s created some memorable roles on the stage in Kamloops and now Ryan Egan is hoping his former hometown will remember him — and vote for him.
Egan is one of a large group of people being considered for a MuchMusic reality TV show that will see 16 people living together in a house and competing to be the channel’s next VJ.
Votes are being collected online and continue to Oct. 12. The finalists will be announced the next day.
Egan, who moved to Toronto to further his theatrical career, said he’s been busy on the many stages in the city, but is taking a break from performing to work hard on making it into that MuchMusic house.
“I understand the game,” he said.
“This is the way TV is now, with reality shows.
“It’s the cheapest way to hire, but there’s lots of exposure for you.
“You just have to go into it right.”
