One person is dead and another in hospital following a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon at the Paul Lake Road and Pinantan-Pritchard Road turnoff.

The driver reportedly lost control of the motorcycle, crashing into nearby hedges.

A woman was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries, while a man died at the scene.

RCMP and paramedics were called to the accident at 1:40 p.m..

Traffic was blocked for several hours.

The coroner's service and traffic analysts were still on scene as of 5 p.m. Sunday.

The name of the deceased and the cause of the accident have not been released.
