A Quebec man is facing charges after a routine traffic stop last week netted police a truckload of marijuana.

Mounties say they pulled over a truck at a Highway 1 brake check near Kamloops on Thursday night.

The driver’s conversation with police made Mounties suspect something was up, so they called in a police dog unit.

Eventually, cops found 250 pounds of B.C. bud packed neatly in one-pound bags. The 37-year-old driver was arrested and is now facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
