Their apparent crime spree has come to an end — and now an Alberta couple is sitting behind bars in Kamloops.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Doug Aird said Mounties arrested the man and woman — ages 26 and 25 — early Monday morning in Batchelor Heights.

Cops had been looking for a white SUV with Alberta plates since the A&W on Fortune Drive and Eighth Street was robbed earlier this month.

A few weeks later, the couple is suspected of stealing a tip jar from the Rock’n Firkin Pub on the North Shore.

In both instances, police say the woman pulled off the actual heist while the man drove the getaway vehicle.
