Hot music and wild comedy with Caravan Farm Theatre
Updated: July 29, 2009 4:21 PM
Caravan Farm Theatre presents the comedy group The Stretch Mouth’d Rascalls with Vancouver music acts Headwater and Blackberry Wood on Aug. 1 and Aug. 2.
Vancouver’s The Stretch Mouth’d Rascalls are a comedy ensemble whose members incorporate music, mask and physical comedy to create shows that are dynamic, provocative, fun and highly theatrical.
They will be preceded by opening musical act Headwater, a West Coast rock-and-roll string band that has won acclaim on the festival and touring circuit.
As a special treat, Folk Rockers Blackberry Wood will also be performing a set after the theatre performance.
“Great comedy, live music, popcorn and a cold beer in the relaxed farm atmosphere of Caravan — it’s a recipe for perfect night out for the whole family,” said artistic director Estelle Shook.
Caravan Farm Theatre is a professional outdoor theatre company that performs on an 80-acre farm just north of Armstrong, B.C.
Hailed as a national treasure, the theatre is one of Canada’s premiere professional outdoor theatre companies and has been entertaining audiences — young and old, near and far — since 1978.
Tickets for these events are $15 dollars for adults and $5 dollars for children 12 and under. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. for a summer evening the whole family can enjoy.
