What is new in the field of cancer research?

A free presentation at Thompson Rivers University's Grand Hall on Nov. 4 will focus on the progress being made in the fight against the disease.

The Canadian Cancer Society is hosting Donor Dollars Delivering Hope, with Dr. Michael Wosnick, scientific director of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Research Institute, speaking on the progress that has been made in cancer research.

The Ontario-based Wosnick will speak in many B.C. communities, including Kamloops, Vancouver and Prince George.

Wosnick’s presentation will be an hour long, with a question and answer period following the presentation.

The Kamloops stop takes place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

To register to attend, call the Kamloops Canadian Cancer Society Unit office at 250-374-9188 or e-mail acole@bc.cancer.ca.
