There are some pretty happy people at the Kamloops Food Bank following a successful campaign picking up yellow grocery bags filled with food.

Acting executive director Heather Brandon said the Sept. 19 campaign resulted in more than 30,000 pounds of food being collected by members of the city’s Rotary clubs, more than double what the clubs collected in the fall drive of 2008 and more than three times the haul in the spring drive.
