The Logan Lake Bike Skills Park will open on Sunday, Aug. 2.
The new bike park was designed and constructed by renowned freestyle mountain bike rider Jay Hoots and his crew, with the assistance of local bike enthusiasts and a commitment from the District of Logan Lake Council.
“This bike skills park is a tribute to the youth of Logan Lake who have dedicated considerable time to the design and construction of the park,” Logan Lake Mayor Marlon Dosch said.
Sunday's opening ceremonies begin at 11:30 am at the skills park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and bike demonstrations, followed by a community barbecue in Maggs Park from noon to 2 p.m.
