Two of Sicamous’ outdoor, four-wheeling aficionados have been recognized for their contributions to quadding in the area.

John and Joyce Kavalinas were recently recognized by the Sicamous Quaders ATV Club for their substantial contributions.

Club president Brian Thurgood said the Kavalinas were instrumental in the club’s creation and, since its formation four years ago, the Kavalinas have devoted themselves to making it a success.

“They have helped with every single activity the club has been involved in,” says Thurgood. “They are quiet (sometimes), modest, unassuming people. They go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and always with a smile, a laugh, a joke and that permanent twinkle in their eyes.”

The club presented the Kavalinas with a plaque, thanking them for all the love they’ve given to the sport of quadding in Sicamous.
